Dr. Klimkiewicz specializes in Sports Medicine and Joint Replacement. He concentrates in all aspects of knee and shoulder surgery with a specific focus on complex knee surgery in athletes. Dr. K has an extensive amount of experience in the treatment of knee cartilage and ligament injuries as well as knee joint preservation with osteotomy, complex reconstructions, and knee replacement. After completing his Orthopedic Residency at the University of Pennsylvania, he went on to complete a Shoulder and Sports Medicine Fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh in 1998. Dr Klimkiewicz is presently a team Physician of the Georgetown University Hoyas and the Washington Capitals Hockey Club. He has decades of experience in the compassionate care of athletes and has cared for countless athletes including St John College High School in Washington, DC and the Washington Freedom Women’s Soccer Club. His commitment to world-class sports medicine and joint replacement care is reflected in the relationships he builds with his patients.
